Here to help keep life moving, so you can stay in your own home

Updated: Dec 14, 2023

As life gets on and we get older, it can get harder to do the same tasks that once came easily to us. Eventually we can be faced with an incredibly difficult choice. Stay at home and soldier through, or think about moving into a care home or supported living environment.

Often we don't think about the heartbreak behind these decisions, the frustration that we feel not being able to do something that once came so easily to us- like putting the washing up, the thought of having to leave behind what may have been someone's dream home that they spent their entire life saving for, or a home that was passed down to them from their own parents and relatives. A home, that may once have been full of positive memories- the birth of a child (many older people were born in a time where home births were very common), birthdays, Christmases, family meals, cozy nights in with the husband or wife.

At Farrow Friends we don't want people to face the heartbreaking decision to have to leave their home and move into a care home for as long as possible, so that you can be surrounded by the comfort of your own things, memories, photographs and home for as long you can. For many people, with a little extra help around the house, people can stay in their own homes for a very long time. Our company focuses on providing support around the house and in the community, while being a friend so that people can maintain their quality of life for even longer.

We help with everything from cleaning, laundry, cooking, gardening, handy man help, escorting, supporting to social events and cafes to doing the shopping. If it's something you need help with, it's something we'll work really hard to do for you. It's our mission to be a friend to others, and we believe that providing help like this doesn't need to stand out. Our staff don't wear uniform's to keep our service discreet for you, so it feels just like having a friend over to visit.

If this feels like something that could help you, please get in touch with our team. We'll arrange a free consultation to talk about you, your interests, your needs, and how we can help. We always ensure our support is led by you, so we're only providing help at the level you need, so that we aren't taking your independence away, but rather, supporting you to maintain the independence you have. Everyone's support needs and preferences are different, and at Farrow Friends we wholly believe that there is no 'one size fits all service', so we build the support around you.

If you'd like some help around the home whether it's gardening, cleaning, cooking or even pet care drop us an email at info@farrowfriends.co.uk or call us on 01476 385 395
